Lake Zones
CLA is organizing the lake into neighborhood areas called “Zones” with 30-40 households in each zone — be they camps, cottages, or year-round homes. We are using these zones to build a lake-wide Cobbossee community by sponsoring neighborhood gatherings within the various zones. These neighborhood gatherings are simply a couple hours of socializing with friends and neighbors over drinks and snacks.
We believe our message about caring for our lake is best heard at these intimate and informal gatherings. It’s a great way to learn firsthand about what is happening lake-wide with invasives and other topics while connecting with neighbors that we might not have the opportunity to spend time with during our short and busy summer season. We have found that these brief social gatherings have been well received, attendees go home enthused having had a moment to connect with their neighbors and learn a little more about the lake.
Please consider hosting one of these gatherings. CLA will help with invitations, signage, provide snacks and beverages to share. These are no pressure, low key events that really help us spread the word.
